Our family has gone gold mining a handful of times. This trip was the most successful.

Spencer also found a crawdad. It became our family pet for two hours while we worked, then we let him go back to his natural habitat.
Andrew kept this collection of white rocks. He called them his diamonds.

I should have talked to you before we tried gold panning in California! You know, Ezra also called his gold his "treasure" (his gold being flakes of gold foil from some candy wrappers that I snuck into his pan). Was it a recent pirate party that got these boys into diamonds and treasure?
