Good Times at the Cabin

While in Utah we went up to the Van Family Cabin. The cabin is on Pine Loop up Tollgate Canyon. It is gorgeous up there, surrounded by aspens.

Van with a deer-in-the-headlights look
Benjamin looks disgruntled for some reason.

Mom handles the little ones, Benjamin and Finn.

Luke shares his juice and Finn uses the sucking force of a Dust Buster to draw it out.
Benjamin reaching/waving.

Finn peeking through.
Luke balances atop the dead tree in the middle of the deck.

Spencer and Van, anxious for their hike. They used marshmallow roasters as their "hiking sticks".
Luke is ready to go.
A father and son moment.
The fathers take the three oldest grand kids on the "hike". I tagged along to document the event.
On our drive home we saw this coyote crossing the road. A real Coyote. Wow.
We enjoyed a fun night at the cabin. We ate delicious barbecued ribs, spinach salad, rolls, and sour cream chocolate cake for dinner/dessert, played Rumicube into the night while the boys watched a movie, and then the adults watched Better Off Dead into the late hours. It doesn't get much better than that. Thanks Mom for planning such a fun gathering.

Looks like you had a great time for such a short time! The coyote was cool! Van and Finn have grown a lot since we saw them last November! Cute kids!

Looks like a fun time. The weather looks perfect, just the way I like it--sunny but you need a jacket part of the time. The kids look cute. Glad we got to see you guys. Love you.
