We drove to Utah the next day where the fun really began!
We attended the John and Merle Higginson Family reunion on Saturday. The following are some picts from that large gathering.
The day started out with visiting, followed by the auction, where people donate family "heirlooms/deceased relics" and whatever else that might produce some interesting bids.

Auctioneer, John Higginson

First item up for bid, a checker board made by John Detton Higginson. And the winner...Richard Kay Higginson. Excellent work Richard.

Luke leads Benjamin out into the light.

Luke is showing me... something.
Number 1 baby sitter, Veronica, plays mother to the cute toddlers. Thanks Veronica. I wish I had one of you up here with us. You are so helpful and the kids love you!
Luke and Stella pair up to go frolic together in the warm sun.

Benjamin and Luke being leashed in by their mother.
Beautiful, model-material Anna
Spencer snapped this picture of the newly weds working together to put up the volleyball net. What a team. And off to the races we go...
Here is Spencer racing in his age division.
Here is a victorious Spencer. I don't really know who won, but it is a mother's job to delude her child right?
Here he is again racing with the 8 and 9 year-olds. Spencer proceeded to race in each and every race after his own. He had ran back and forth at least 10 times. Way to go Spencer!
After the races a few of the men had a little hail Mary launch competition.

After lunch, we moved over to the church for a program. A few families participated in the talent show. Here is Anna leading the group of ladies in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat's, "Any Dream will Do." Our very own Spencer, Spencer, and Luke performed a little ditty, Hey there Delilah with Spencer accompanying the boys with the acoustic guitar but we ran out of memory space on our camera. They did great. I loved hearing them at the performance and each and every time they practiced leading up to the performance. Great job fellas!
Stella and Lily pair up to play during the program. How fun to have cousins so close in age.
Richard had a few remarks leading up to Dad's remarks about their mission.
What a great reunion. We'll see you all in 2009! Peace Out

caroline, stella & i just looked at your pics. stella was delighted as she saw the pictures of herself, but especially "lukey" as she just called him. she says she misses him. thanks for the great reunion documentation! love you.
Great spot!! Hey, you can steal the picture of spencers and luke from my blog and put it on here. It's one worth remembering and documenting. It was soooo cute. Good job. Good dad.
It really was a fun reunion! Thanks for the additional photos! Spencer racing every race reminded me of Zach doing that at a reunion at about that same age! The reward at the end (candy) must have made the run across the lawn in 100 degree heat worth it!
Fun reunion. Great pictures. Good job, those of you that remembered cameras. Love you all.
Karey
i took some photos of your boys singing... i will email you the best couple of them.
