"Seattle!"

"Seattle!" That is what Spencer yelled out of the window at pedestrians as we drove around Seattle. I wish punctuation could tell you the voice he used to yell it.

Spencer had to go up to Seattle for work so we took that good fortune and made a trip out of it.
We made good time on our drive up, up until Benny vomited all over himself and half of the back seat. We pulled over on the side of the road in heavy traffic and cleaned him and surrounding area with water bottles and an entire package of wipes. It was yucky.
That was the low point of the trip. The rest of the trip was fantasticly fun. We went to the market every day and indulged in mini doughnuts, Piroshky-Piroshky rolls, chowder, bread, chicken skewers, gyoza, and cookies. We rode the ferry from Seattle over to Bainbridge Island, went to the Seattle Aquarium, played at a beach park, and swam at the hotel. It was a great get away before school started.

Leaving Seattle for Bainbrige Island. We all loved riding on the decks of the ferry with the wind blowing all around us. That is good stuff.

Right before this pictures was taken Benny said, "Dad, my head is stuck." Of course I had to take a picture before he was released from this snare.

The kids all got balloon swords from a balloon man at the market. Lila is "en guarde."

The boys loved touching the star fish and anenomies. Lila was a little creeped out by them and refused to touch.

Spencer asked me to take a picture of him at every single head insert.

Can anyone tell me the difference between seal and sea lion? Someone told us at the coast once but my memory is failing me.

Luke has an obsession/fascination with giant squid, octopedes, and sharks. The aquarium was right up his alley. He loved it as did the rest of us.

The kids keep asking when we will go back to Seattle. It was a great trip. We hope that a work trip, school break, and the stars all align again so we can go again soon.
