Halloween

At the last moment Spencer decided to be a cowboy instead of Spider Man and that left a vacancy for Luke to fill, (It is too bad because I borrowed this great chicken costume for Luke from my mom. I think it was too small though.), and Benjamin made an adorable little duck.
Grandma and Grandpa Higginson came up for a visit the week of Halloween. What a great treat for all of us.
Off we go to the trunk or treat at our church.
This is Spencer with his friend Ashton.
They served hot chocolate to help keep us all warm, but turns out it wasn't even cold (note Spencer's tee shirt and shorts).

On ambitious trunk host made a haunted house for the kids to go through.
That's it. We then went home and called it a night.

Yes, Grandma and Grandpa went to the truck or treat, but they stayed in the van. Lame huh, but maybe more comfortable for them.

Yes, it is true that Spencer in a tee shirt and shorts doesn't actually say much about the weather, but it was extraordinarily mild.

Looks like a fun Halloween? How funny that Dad and Mom went to the Trunk or Treat, but not surprising that they stayed in the van. Halloween has never really been their thing. I wonder where some of the rest of us got our attitude toward Halloween. Oh well. Love you!
