Two Sundays ago the primary chorister asked the kids in the junior Primary who would be interested in singing a solo in the Primary program. Spencer volunteered. This last Sunday the chorister had Spencer sing his solo in front of both the junior and senior primary during closing exercises, so I was able to hear him sing this time. He sang, Listen to the Still Small Voice. When he sings it at home over and over it doesn't have the same effect as when he sang in front of everyone. He had such courage and confidence. He brought tears to my eyes. I thought it was just because he is my son, but leaders and teachers said that they did too. It was so sweet. We came home from church and he reported that he and Brenna are getting married again. He reported that she poked him but they are still getting married. We were pretty amused by all of this so Father Spencer told Spencer that he would need to ask Brenna's dad permission to marry her. Spencer was all for it and insisted that Father Spencer call right away. He has no concept of girls being physically cute. She and Spencer are just great friends. Who better to marry than a dear friend? We keep telling him that he has lots of time before he needs to worry about finding a girl to marry.
We love Spencer. He loves basketball (he frequently tells me that it is his favorite sport (strange huh since he worships his father)). His favorite color is yellow, although we don't know what yellow looks like to him since we have suspicions that he might be color blind. Spencer can make friends with any kid and is a great friend to his brothers. His favorite animal is a lion and does a great lion's roar. He loves to sing, watch movies, and has a terrific memory. He asks some very inquisitive questions which spur interesting conversations. He is a lot of fun. We love that kid!

So when is your primary program so we can all be there! Jack's favorite color is yellow as well. We love you little Spencer. If you grow up to be just like your dad, you'll be grrrreat!
what a sweetie. good job doing the solo, lil' spence! i'm going to post some pics of your family soon from your visit so stay tuned.
We love that kid, too. I was thinking that he must see the color BLUE as yellow, because BLUE is a favorite color of a lot of really good people. Anyway, we miss you all. And by the way, neither Spencer nor Luke have given us a call for quite some time. What's up with that?
